LMS integrations

One install kit. Five LMSes. Same five values to paste.

Every supported LMS uses LTI 1.3 — the same Login URL, Launch URL, JWKS URL, Tenant ID and API key. The guides below just show you where to paste them in each platform.

Moodle

LTI 1.3 (recommended) · legacy block_xuedao_laoshi still supported

Tested on Moodle 4.1+. Should work on 4.0 unchanged.

Placement: External tool — manage manually as a preconfigured tool.

Canvas

LTI 1.3 · Cloud + self-hosted · LTI Advantage Services

Tested on Canvas Cloud + self-hosted. Same procedure either way.

Placement: Developer Key + Configuration type "By Client ID".

Blackboard Learn

LTI 1.3 · Ultra + Original course views

Tested on Learn Ultra; same path works on Original.

Tested on the Schoology Enterprise tier (LTI Advantage requires it).

The two-step pattern (every LMS)

  1. In your LMS admin panel: register XueDao Lao Shi as an external tool / LTI 1.3 tool. Paste the four URLs and your Tenant ID; each LMS generates a client_id on registration.
  2. Back to your ClairVAS dashboard: register the LMS deployment by pasting back the LMS's issuer, client_id, and deployment_id. This tells our tool provider how to trust your specific LMS instance.

Once both sides know about each other, the LTI launch works for every course and every student — no per-course setup needed.
